Textile, embroidery, cyanotype, beads
A3
This work is part of the project The Lost Choice, a series exploring the inner fracture that occurs when a decision reshapes a life irreversibly.
Two female figures walk in opposite directions, stitched into the same fabric space. Their bodies are connected yet separated — suggesting dual realities, parallel destinies, and the emotional weight of paths not taken. The use of cyanotype creates a deep, immersive blue atmosphere, evoking memory, distance, and introspection.
Hand embroidery and beading introduce texture and tactility, emphasizing the labor of healing and the delicate reconstruction of identity. The visible stitches become metaphors for repair — for the attempt to hold together what has already split.
The work speaks about migration, sacrifice, and the silent dialogue between who we were and who we became.
