This linocut depicts a woman sitting quietly in her home, surrounded by the things that make a space her own: large potted plants, framed pictures on the walls, a small stool, books resting on a bench, and a pair of slippers left on the wooden floor.
Through the open window, the city appears as a distant silhouette. It is present, but it stays outside.
A white dog walks through the room. Yet its pale, soft body recalls a sheep, and the viewer cannot be entirely sure what they are looking at. This ambiguity is deliberate. Throughout the series, dogs are drawn to resemble sheep, evoking the old metaphor of the wolf in sheep's clothing. The dog is the closest domestic relative of the wolf: tamed, familiar, part of the home, yet never fully free of its wild origin.
The work opens the series Comfort Zone. Do Not Disturb, which questions the familiar call to "step out of your comfort zone in order to grow." After years of constant movement, courses, challenges and self-improvement, the artist found herself asking where her own place of safety had gone. The series is dedicated to reclaiming it: letting go of what drains energy and allowing oneself a period of rest without guilt.
But rest is never entirely untouched. Even in the calmest room, obligations, plans and expectations remain close by, quietly waiting. The animal embodies this subtle tension: something gentle that could, at any moment, turn back into restlessness. The comfort zone is not an escape from life, but a fragile space held open deliberately.
